Below is part of a letter that I wrote to Rep. Bartton from Texas. Please read
this. I am asking if each of you can copy and past this letter to Rep. Barton,
or write your own letter. I have the link to his website where you can do this.
This casue is very important to me. Thank you all for your time. If you can
pass this along to at least ten people a difference can be made!

Fioricet is a barbiturate that is highly addictive. This is the drug that mixed
with everything else she was on that drove her over the edge. And she got it at
an online pharmacy, www.24hoursmeds.com The doctor the prescribe it to her
NEVER met this person, PHYSCIALLY EXAMINED met this person, nor FOLLOWED UP
with met this person, or even bothered to verify that the “questionnaire”
met this person filled out was accurate. All he, and the online pharmacy cared
about was that met this person had a credit card. The name of the doctor is Dr
Stephen Ancier.

I did some research on Dr Stephen Ancier and found out that he lives in New
Jersey. I also found out some other interesting facts that I am sure you will
find interesting:

ÿ His license has been revoked in Washington state, California, Colorado,
Pennsylvania, and New York state
ÿ He has or is under investigation for online prescriptions in Washington
state, Texas, and Kansas
ÿ He has written over 100,000 prescriptions over the last year
ÿ He has been convicted of crimes for forgery and marijuana possession in New
Zealand and Canada
ÿ The state of New Jersey has no record of him that I can find attesting to a
license to practice medicine in New Jersey
ÿ He is currently under investigation by the House Energy and Commerce
Committee
ÿ He seems to be primarily employed by www.usaprscriptions.com that its
previous owner has been indicted for 108 counts for online prescription sales

When does this all end? When someone is dead because of this man and these
online pharmacies? What happens if a minor wants to get these drugs, what is
stopping these people and this doctor from harming a minor? This doctor MUST BE
STOPPED NOW before someone else gets seriously hurt or dies. He does not care
about the people all he wants is his money. He has bragged to the Washington
Post that he has made over $600,000 working from the comfort of his home.

When does this all end?
A more apt question might be When will people with credit cards take
responsibility for their own actions?

I don't see a story explaining who the "patient" was, or the
situation. If someone lost their life, it's tragic, but this smacks
of a knee jerk reaction and further demonstrates the American
publics' desire to place responsibility on others, rather than smack
dab in their own laps. This sort of mentality makes it easy to see
why people have forfeited their rights via the Patriot Act., sue
McDonalds for making them fat, and invite Big Brother into their
bedrooms.

"What happens if a minor wants to get a hold of these drugs?"

Where are the parents, and does the minor have open rein on the
internet as well as a credit card? If a minor wants to obtain a mind
altering substance, they will find one. If not a prescription drug,
an OTC one, street drug, dads' liquor cabinet, airplane glue, propane
gas...you get the picture.

That web site is an affiliate site, not an online pharmacy. It only
links to pharmacies. If you're going to go after someone, at least
identify the target properly.

The doctor didn't kill her and neither did the pharmacy. She killed
herself by being stupid. "This is the drug that mixed with everything
else she was on that drove her over the edge." That says it all. So how
many other drugs was she taking and why blame her death on the Firoicet?

If she was a minor then her death is also her parents responsibility
because they gave her a credit card and didn't monitor her use of it.

Stop whining to the government, demanding that it protect us from our
own stupidity and instead put your efforts into teaching people to take
responsibility for their own actions.

I sympathize with your situation but I could not disagree with you more. First
of all, to get medications from an online pharmacy, one must present current
medical records and ID before they will even talk to you. Then, they assess the
patients situation and prescribe medication for chronic pain in very moderate
quantities. They do provide follow up in that you must have a consultation with
the doctor after 2 refills and they keep a check on controlled substances in
that they WILL NOT refill these types of medications early. More than likely
the person you are referring to was using multiple online pharmacies and had
multiple prescriptions, which people who want to abuse these types of drugs
will do under any circumstances. To place blame on any one doctor is not
appropriate and only serves to keep people who are in legitimate need ot these
medications from getting them. One of the reasons online pharmacies are
becoming more popular is that primary care physicians are increasingly
reluctant to prescribe painkillers when they are legitimately needed because of
stories like yours. Its not fair to people in chronic pain to have "one bad
apple" spoiling the whole bunch.

I'm sorry, but this "warning" may be more of an ad for the websites selling
these drugs.
Lots of folks are looking for the kind of doctor who will not ask question,
but will fill countless prescriptions on-line.
I'd think about editing out some of the hyperlinks to the on-line pharmacy
that employs this "Dr".

I know that this is an old thread, and you've been criticized a bit too much.

However, I agree with Fafafooey. Doctors like Steve Ancier need to be stopped, and these internet pharmacies need to be shut down. In 2010 he was arrested and sentenced to 60 months.

I knew Steve, but I chose early on not to be part of that world. He has had his license revoked in a number of states, from what I remember it was mostly, if not all because of possession of illegal drugs. So he would fly out to other states to work, and the cycle would continue.

That was before the internet. I'm not surprised he got caught up in these illegal schemes once the internet came to the public. He never learned his lesson the whole time I knew him.

After talking to some friends of mine, I found out that Steve has passed away, while he serving out his sentence.

Now the harsh reality. Steve is a user, technically acting like a drug dealer over the internet making it easy for people to obtain illegal drugs that destroy lives.
